9. Proper Nouns

Name of real persons and places,  the days of the week, the months of the year are called Proper Nouns. They must begin with a capital letter:

Name of real persons:
Boys or men:               Ravi, Raja
Girls or women            Mala, Mary

Name of real places:
Countries:                   England, Pakistan
Cities                           London, Cairo

The days of the week:
Sunday, Monday

The month of the year
January, February

The Queen of England has a place in London.
The River Nile is in Africa.
The name Ahmad is the name of an Arab.
There are many Englishmen in India.
It is very cold in Russia in December and January.
The capital of France is Paris.

My friend Ali is going to France in April.
The shops in London are shut on Sunday.
It is very hot in Cairo in July and August.
The plane is flying from Beirut to Paris.
My friend is Jack is an Englishman.
Her sister Mary is living in America.
